Ancient bones die

I hear planes in the sky
bees nearby
I sit and wonder why.

The rise of Earth’s scent
brings memories
ancient as I inhale

Bees nearby
feasting, dancing
to ancient rules

Planes in the sky
laden, travelling
over ancient lines

Me, eyes closed
listening, inhaling
relishing the sunrise

I sit and wander
over bees nearby
over planes in the sky
and up, and around
I wander till found
the answer as to why

ancient bones die.

I sit and wonder
of the age of ghosts
of Earth’s ancient hosts
and of time’s thunder

where ancient bones sigh.

the art of seeing

This welcome sunshine
burns away thoughts of that sweet rain
which washed away that radiant sunshine
after it burnt away those morning mists
which dampened spirits of those moonilt fields
whose silence opened to breathe the stars
as they themselves woke the might of time
where it sparked imagination into being
and that life there, that simple dream
taught the soul the art of seeing
and that life there, that simple sight
opened doors to the unseen light
of this dark world, this world of
fragile alchemic blight
where the sun it shines to breathe new life
to give us hope for a world of sight

When the dust settles

When the dust settles

We are born seeing the world as a solid place
with different surfaces: earth, air, water, fire and so forth.
All solid in their own way.

We go about our lives interacting with each surface
creating things using a mixture of these solids which includes ourselves.

Sometimes when there is a silence there comes a clarity
and the dust motes begin their slow dance of finality.

If you sit long enough with the air around you becoming still
you’ll come to see things in their natural states.

You’ll receive a heightened appreciation of your surroundings
and with your senses reborn you can watch as the dust settles
to reveal a blank canvas where everything permanent, solid,
has an ambient essence of life with a different atmosphere.

You’ll see.

Just one little smile

~
Smiles are contagious, and one little smile
can illuminate and cause a whole avalanche of smiles
Also, one smile can show us the way to unseen possibilities within us.

Just one little smile.
