The wonderful Diane at Bardessdmdenton has given me this award (please visit her site, for poetry and art – check out her novel too
)
Thank you very much Diane x

I should now offer 7 things about me and also nominate others who inspire me.
Seven things about me….. hmmmm….
- I’m slowly getting round to watching my opera DVDs, I’m on number 3 of 70 ha ha!
- Yesterday I bought a double DVD of black & white Les Miserables films from 1935 and 1952.
- I don’t have a television.
- I once held the Gibraltar record for the 400m.
- I make my own bread and keep it in the microwave oven.
- I have a paperweight that says, ‘Nicht vergessen!’. I forget where I got it from
- I have a cheetah that guards my laptop when I’m out.
Now to nominating. I have decided to narrow it down to five who inspire me so I would like to give this award to:

Lovely award for a lovely writer H to H xx
Thanks H xxx
Congratulations!
A cheetah that guards your laptop when you are out? :O
Interesting!
Yep
why, thank you sir! XXXXX
You’re welcome, Willow xxx
Such a lovely and diverse biography. I once had a boa constrictor that guarded my kitchen, but that’s another story altogether! Congratulations. ~ B
That’s the thing with these awards, we have to keep finding little snippets without repeating ourselves
Thanks Bobbie.
LOL……….or just pretend we never got them!
Thanks Martin! Very sweet of you
You’re very welcome
My pleasure to nominate you, Martin, and thanks for accepting so graciously and generously! Love your seven revelations! Enjoy those opera dvds – that’s quite an undertaking. I think it’s great to go back and see the old films. When a film is good you don’t even notice it’s in black and white. And that Gibraltar record! Well done!
I think some of the old B&W films are a lot better then the new ones. The acting is bolder somehow and clearer. The 1935 version of Les Miserables is superb!
I am going to put that version of Les Mis on my list to see. That’s a good way of putting it, Martin, that ‘the acting is bolder … and clearer.’
And I think many of the old comedies were so much better than the new ones … so witty and real … often with some really strong women’s roles, and even exploring some very progressive subject matter.
You’ll enjoy it… I didn’t much care for the 1952 version. I’ve yet to see the musical Les Miserables, one day perhaps
